Disordered Eating & Body Image

For a relationship with food, exercise or the body that has narrowed life down.

How we approach it

Disordered eating rarely arrives alone. We work with what the eating is doing — the control it offers, the feeling it manages, the shame that keeps it private — rather than treating the behaviour as the whole problem.

Where medical monitoring is needed we work alongside your GP, dietitian or psychiatrist, with your consent. For higher-acuity presentations we will refer you to a specialist eating-disorder service and stay involved where that is useful.

We work with disordered eating in adults on an outpatient basis, alongside your GP or dietitian where medical monitoring is needed. Where medical stability or the frequency of symptoms calls for a specialist eating-disorder programme, we will tell you at the introductory consultation rather than after you have started.
